Heat Press (left)

• Vinyl, sublimation, and film transfers can be applied to fabric using a heat press.

• This can get very hot, so make sure to check the pressing instructions for your apparel and design. Be careful not to touch the upper heat plate!

• This process is used to make items for the UCM Fashion Shop that is run by students.

Screen Printing Platform (right)

• This table can be used with screens to apply ink designs on garments.

• 3D printing can be used for fashion accessories and prototypes.

• Students explore the 3D printing process, so they can apply it in the future.

Silver Bullet Cutter

• Cuts vinyl, paper, etc.

• Heat Transfer Vinyl or sticker vinyl can be used for different purposes.

• If you want to use sticker vinyl for a display case or class project, contact our student assistant a week in advance to plan for help.

• Don’t forget to mirror your image when cutting on HTV!

Sublimation Printer

• Prints on transfer paper with special ink to be applied to polyester.

• Can be applied with heat on hard surfaces prepared for sublimation (keychains, mugs, water bottles) or soft surfaces with at least 50% polyester content.

Laurastar Steaming Station

• Press seams and clothing with dry steam.

• Tips for use: allow to heat up, push steam button before use if it has been sitting for more than 5 minutes, only fill with spring or mineral water (not tap or distilled).
